Lecce: the old town

The beaches are enchanting, among which the “Baia dei Turchi” and the “Alimini” beaches.
Pearl of the Ionian Coast of Salento, Gallipoli presents a beautiful old town centre located on an island protected by historic ramparts. Here you can visit the Angevin Castle, the Cathedral of Sant’Agata, the Church of the Sacred Heart and the Greek Fountain. San Cataldo, seaside of Lecce, can be reached in just 15 minutes by car. It is characterized by several beaches and low cliffs bordering a crystal-clear sea. Here you can find beach resorts and centres for diving or water sports. The presence of the port and the sailing clubmakes possible the chartering of boats for pleasant sea excursions.
